About This Place

Nestled along the charming Quay Road in West Looe, Tasty Corner Cafe is a delightful haven for breakfast lovers, coffee aficionados, and casual diners alike. This inviting cafe expertly balances the relaxed atmosphere of a local coffee shop with the hearty satisfaction of a classic breakfast restaurant, making it an essential stop for anyone seeking comforting, freshly prepared meals with a seaside flair.

From the very first sip of their expertly brewed coffee — praised by locals as the best Americano in town — you’ll sense the passion behind every cup. The rich aroma and perfectly balanced flavors perfectly complement a menu brimming with tempting choices. Their Full English Breakfast, while met with mixed feelings, still promises a satisfying start to the day featuring traditional British fare. For something lighter or uniquely local, dive into the delicate Cream Tea or the fresh, vibrant Crab Salad, capturing the coastal essence of Cornwall.

Breakfast and light lunch options are varied and deliciously thoughtful. Imagine savoring golden, crispy Brie Wedges or indulging in a warming bowl of the Homemade Soup of the Day, paired with a flaky Pastie — a true Cornish classic — perfect for those craving authentic regional flavors. Their sandwiches, including prawn, crab, and tuna varieties, are crafted with care and freshness, while the Jacket Potatoes offer comforting fillings like homemade chili or creamy coleslaw, making every meal feel like a cozy, nourishing treat.

The cafe's sweet treats are not to be overlooked — the zesty, moist Lemon Drizzle Cake and the tender, fluffy Pancakes with Bacon and Maple Syrup provide a delectable balance between sweet and savory, perfectly finishing or accompanying any meal. Customers often return for their gluten-free brownies, highlighting Tasty Corner Cafe’s consideration for dietary preferences.

Atmosphere-wise, the cafe is filled with warmth and friendliness. The staff are known for exceptional service — accommodating and welcoming guests as if they were friends stopping by for a chat. The cafe is dog-friendly, a thoughtful touch that resonates strongly with visitors, complete with water bowls for four-legged friends.

Although there are no onsite toilets, the convenient proximity to public facilities across the street, combined with nearby parking and bus stops, makes access relatively straightforward. Seating is offered both inside and across the street, where visitors can soak up the lively West Looe vibe and watch the world go by.

Whether you're a local or a traveler discovering Looe’s culinary scene, Tasty Corner Cafe offers an authentic, heartfelt experience. It’s a place that invites you to relax, indulge, and enjoy quality food made with love — a true gem on Quay Road, embraced by those who appreciate thoughtful flavors and genuine hospitality.

We popped in to this cute little cafe for coffee and breakfast. Our eggs were perfectly poached and the coffee was served hot. The cafe is dog friendly and a water bowl was provided. The service was friendly and the cafe had a nice atmosphere. The cafe doesn’t have toilets so we had to use public toilets across the road. It also would have been nice if we could have had a wholemeal option for the toast.

Great for breakfast, we love this cafe. Great staff, excellent service. Only problem is the parking, which they have no control over.

Staff friendly and helpful, without a doubt the best coffee in looe, we visited every day for an Americano and glutenfree brownies or lemon drizzle. It is what it is a good cafe with freshly cooked food, good service, and a great view to watch the world go by.

Ambiance and staff was lovely. Food selection was inspiring. The full English was sub-par, not living up to it's description.

This cafe is a gem at the end of the road. It’s near the car park and the bus stop and has some seating across the street. The staff are very kind and accommodating. The coffee was absolutely delicious and if there is anyone (or the owners please!) who knows what coffee they use, then please let me know!! The food was really good and really pleased we went!

We were visiting Looe Town yesterday feeling hungry. Not knowing the place very well we saw another cafe opposite the car park and had a cooked breakfast there. We walked around town afterwards and found TASTY CORNER. I can't believe the difference of the atmosphere, prices of foods, excellent views, cleanliness, the warmth of their place and the friendly staff compared to the other cafe we had breakfast previously. We enjoyed our freshly cooked scones and are very happy we found Tasty Corner, we will be going back there again for a tasty full English breakfast.

Lovely little cafe, we called in for breakfast several times during our 2 week stay near by. Food is well prepared and tasty. Price at £ 10.95 for a full English is much cheaper than elsewhere in town so with 2 of everything is really good value for money. Well worth a visit .
